Order book based market simulation using a state machine
In financial markets, market impact is the effect that a market participant has when he buys or sells an asset. Even though, different methodologies have been carried out in the past few years to explore deep about order book dynamics, those approaches were focused on predicting trader focused parameters such as mid-price or next trade price. Proposed research study focuses on simulating the order book to forecast the market impact caused by a specific buy/sell order. A particular trading algorithm or a trader decision will be able to forecast its’ impact to the real stock market. Market impact would be analyzed through different order book states (Stable/ Upward or Downward).
